Assignments

Homework and class work are to be written in a neat legible manner.
Any illegible or sloppy assignments will be returned to the students.

Grading

A = 90 - 100 B = 80 - 89.9 C = 70 - 79.9 D = 60 - 69.9 F = 59.9 and below
Semester grades are broken down by the following: Quarter grades = 80% / semester final exam = 20%

Late Work and Absences

All work is due on the date originally assigned, and no late work will be accepted unless an absence in excused.

Excused Absences

It is the responsibility of the student to ask for make-up work that was missed due to an absence.
The student must discuss with the teacher a make-up schedule for the work.

All unexcused absences will result in no credit.
After 10 unexcused absences the teacher has the ability to drop a student from a course.

Tardy Policy

Students must be in the classroom when the bell rings . The DVHS tardy policy will be enforced.

Required Materials

Due to the nature of FACS courses, each class requires specific materials. Students will be informed of the special materials required for their course and will be given adequate time to obtain them.

Cheating

Any student caught cheating on any assignment, test, or quiz will receive a zero and be referred to administration.

Miscellaneous Rules

Eating, drinking, gum chewing, cell phones, and cosmetic maintenance are not permitted in the classroom.
